Fun Activities with Grandchildren
Want to spend the day with your grandchildren but don’t know what to do? Here are some ideas for a fun-filled day. Remember, there’s nothing quite like having fun and making special memories. These activities are guaranteed to make all of you smile!
The local park is a hit with kids of all ages. Start with a picnic together, where you can converse about the plans for the rest of the day. After you clean up, go on a nature walk, or check out the playground. The park will surely offer something everyone can enjoy.
If Mother Nature says no to a day in the park, then you may want to check out the movie theatres. Find something that is appropriate for all of you, and that all of you will enjoy. Splurge on candy and snacks to make it a little more fun.
If a day out is too much for you, then you can have scrapbooking day. This is a great chance for you to tell your grandchildren stories and for each of you to show each other some creativity. You can spend hours on the project, and turn into a regular occasion until you finish and present it to another family member as a gift, or keep it yourself.
If you are looking for something to entertain the children without having to do too much yourself, because you are busy, or are not feeling well; then, try setting up play lands for the kids. Girls love doll houses, and boys love race tracks and cities to destroy. If this idea does not go over well, give them crayons, markers, pencils and paper. Have them sign and date whatever they draw and display their work on the fridge. These memories will go a long way and be cherished forever.
Whatever fun activities you decide to do while spending time with your grandchildren, make it very special for them. These will be times that they will treasure for a lifetime. Each memory will live in their hearts as it does in yours.
