The Need To Select Right Dancewear To Learn Ballroom Dancing

You need different kind of dancewear while learning and while performing. At learning level, the emphasis should be on comfort, whereas at performance level, one should emphasize more on presentation, grace and beauty, including comfort.

To enjoy your dance lessons and to learn them fast, it is very important that you feel relaxed in whatever you are wearing. The clothes should not be too tight on you so that they do not interfere with your dance movements. Jogging suit or exercise gear can be a good choice. Choose your dress in accordance with the weather and temperature inside the dance studio. Always remember that you sweat a lot after a practice session and feel hot, so avoid woolens or fleeced tops. You can come in a Jacket on top of a cotton shirt with short sleeves, and remove the jacket before you stat to dance. For certain dances, you may have to wear tights or slacks.

Equally significant are the shoes you choose to wear for a dance lesson. The best way to select a pair of shoes is by testing it for proper hold on the ground while wearing it, so that it does not hinder your revolving movements. Comfort is the key, if you want to enjoy ballroom dancing and perfect the steps. You can wear any shoe with an even sole like a loafer. Avoid wearing open-toed shoes or shoes with rubber sole, as it can be slippery.

For different kinds of dances, you get special dance shoes like tap shoes, pointed shoes and ballet shoes etc. You should wear dance shoes, strictly on a dance floor only. They have suede soles for easy movement. Different dance shoes have different purposes, according to the foot movement in that particular dance. For example, a ballerina has to wear a ballet shoe, as she has to stand and move on her toes. Her shoe has no rubber or hard cloth on it, so she is able to move without any restraint.

In Ballroom dance, heeled- shoes look good on women. They give her grace and a look of natural movement, while she is performing. However, these are not easy to carry if you are learning. There is no exclusive attire for Ball Dance and the costume largely depends upon the type and intensity of occasion.

Nevertheless, men generally look crisp in an English suit or tuxedo and women in attractive party gowns, embellished with glitters.
