History was made in Italy in March 2006, when the first Suduko world championship was held. This puzzle game, which has created a sensation all over the world, witnessed a phenomenal twist in its development.

Meet The Suduko Champion
An accountant from Czech Republic, Jana Tylova, is the world Suduko champion. She fiercely competed with two Americans in the grand finale of the event and beat them; thus, becoming the first woman Suduko world champion.
The world championship was held in Italy in March. It attracted 85 participants from 22 nations. Tylova's triumph was unbelievable, as she had managed to attain the 9th position in the first round, and was the only woman featuring among the top 18.
The way Tylova played the game was awesome. She was quick in taking decisions during the game. She was seen to be scribbling digits on a flip chart in haste. The buoyant Wayne Gould from New Zealand, who is known as the master of Suduko, was spell bound to see her play in this fashion.

Thomas Snyder, a student of Harvard University, was the first runner up, while Wei-Ha Huan from California, who works as a software engineer at Google, was the second runner up.
According to Will Shortz, the creator of World Puzzle Championship, the three finalists of Suduko are all genius. Even those who were left behind in the championship deserved to be applauded.
Are Women Better Suduko Players?
There may not be a precise answer to this question, yet the victory of Tylova has proved that women can prove themselves better in mind games too! Do you know that 30 per cent of the participants of the world championship were women?
When asked, Tylova said that the secret of her success was a daily practice of Suduko for an hour or two. Even before arriving at the even, she had brushed up her gray cells by playing Suduko for two hours. It is important to stimulate your brain cells and keep them in good health.
