American Idol winner David Cook is set to release his self-titled debut album on November 18th, 2008. Produced by Grammy winning Rob Cavallo (Green Day, Kid Rock), David Cook is a quality album full with radio hits. Cook co-wrote 9 songs from his debut, along with songwriters like Chris Cornell, Brian Howes & Cathy Dennis. The 1st single "Light On" was co-written by one of rock music's most influential innovators, Chris Cornell, lead singer and songwriter for Soundgarden and Audioslave, and acclaimed producer / songwriter Brian Howes, who has worked with superstar rock bands such as Hinder and Puddle of Mudd.

Professional even at his first album shows his next will be AMAZING i preordered this album and i have had it since it came out and i completely love it when i heard the single light on i was a little skeptic and was worried that the rest of the album might only be as good as that (i didnt really care for the single light on it just didnt pertain to me) but the rest of the album was amazing and usually first albums, especially after american idol arent that great but this exceeds most and in only a few months so that tells you that if they put more time into the next one it... more info
Totally AMAZING!!!!!! You never know what to expect out of American Idol winners. Some have made albums that knocked my socks off e.g. Carrie Underwood, Jordan Sparks, and Kelly Clarkson and then some not so much e.g. Ruben & Fantasia. David Cook blew me away with how great an album he created. David Cook helped write the lyrics on nearly all (if not all) songs and his words really tear at my heart strings. David Cook I like the album. The music is diverse. Shows his "rock" style, but also demonstrates the quality of his voice.
